Meet Our Principal
Mrs. Joyce
Milam
Hello, Burden Families!
My name is Joyce Milam, and I am truly honored to serve as the Principal of Bill Burden Elementary.
I am proud to be a lifelong Panther—I bleed purple! I have been part of the Liberty Hill ISD community since 2nd grade and am a graduate of Liberty Hill High School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University and later obtained my Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University.
With almost 25 years in education, I have had the privilege of serving students and families in a variety of roles, including Kindergarten and 3rd grade teacher, Behavior Interventionist, and Assistant Principal at BBE for four years. Each of these experiences has strengthened my passion for supporting students and building a positive school community.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband, Zack, and I are proud parents to two wonderful children, Blaze and Marlee. Our home is also filled with energy and love from our three adorable dogs!
At BBE, I strongly believe in the power of partnership. By working together, we can create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed. Please know that my door is always open—I look forward to working alongside you to make this a fantastic year for our students!
Meet Our Assistant Principal
Mrs. Lindsey Jameyson
Hello, Burden Families!
I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Bill Burden Elementary. This year marks my 15th year in education, and I am excited to continue serving students, families, and teachers in Liberty Hill ISD.
I am a proud member of the Texas A&M University Class of 2004. My husband and I grew up in Alvin, Texas, and later attended Texas A&M together. We always dreamed of moving to the Hill Country to raise our family, and we are blessed with two beautiful daughters. Our family loves spending time outdoors and being part of this wonderful community.
My career in education began as a reading interventionist before I accepted my first teaching position as a kindergarten teacher in Georgetown ISD. I taught kindergarten for several years before spending time at home with my children, and later returned to the classroom as a second grade teacher in Liberty Hill ISD. Most recently, I served as the Gifted and Talented Specialist for the district.
I believe students learn best through exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships. As Assistant Principal, my goal is to help support a campus culture where students feel safe, loved, challenged, and excited to learn. I am passionate about supporting teachers, partnering with families, and helping every child grow.
I look forward to building connections with our Burden families and working together to make this a wonderful year for our students!
